Black Hawk Down Returns in Delta Force: A Free Co-Op Battle Available Now

Team Jade’s free-to-play military simulation game, Delta Force, has just introduced Black Hawk Down, a thrilling cooperative campaign remake of the 2003 classic. This modernized experience brings the intense combat of the original to today’s players, allowing up to four participants to immerse themselves in tactical warfare.

A Nostalgic Yet Modern Experience

The original Black Hawk Down game was based on journalist Mark Bowden’s book, chronicling the harrowing true events of the Battle of Mogadishu. It was later adapted into Ridley Scott’s 2001 film. Now, 22 years later, Team Jade has revitalized the campaign while staying true to its roots.

Previously, Delta Force was primarily a multiplayer experience. Since its beta release on December 4, it has focused on diverse gameplay modes, including:

  • Warfare – A massive 32v32 battle across land, sea, and air.
  • Operations – An extraction shooter mode where survival and strategic looting are key.
  • Raid Mode – Objective-driven missions designed for squad-based action.

For fans of team-based missions, Black Hawk Down is a seven-mission campaign where each player assumes a specialist role—be it supplying ammo, healing teammates, or fulfilling other tactical duties—to complete intense objectives.

Realistic Combat and Tactical Gameplay

Early gameplay impressions highlight a striking balance between modern graphics and the retro difficulty of early 2000s shooters. The combat is unforgiving, with smart enemy AI taking cover, flanking players, and striking with precision. Health drops quickly, and specialists must rely on medkits that take crucial seconds to apply, increasing the challenge.

The tactical element of Delta Force is also emphasized in Black Hawk Down. Specific body injuries affect movement, making medics, snipers, and ammo carriers vital assets in any squad. Players can customize their loadouts to experiment with different strategies, making teamwork essential to success.

Cutting-Edge Visuals and Rewards

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Black Hawk Down boasts stunning animations and highly detailed environments. Missions vary from escorting convoys through hostile zones to locating and rescuing stranded soldiers, each designed with meticulous visual depth.

In addition to its intense gameplay, the campaign offers exclusive in-game rewards. Completing missions unlocks multiple cosmetic items, and Team Jade has introduced a limited-time web event, Flappy Hawk, with additional unlockables. Daily logins provide premium weapon experience tokens, while hidden boss enemies, known as Boss Adjutants, offer rare rewards.

Available Now

Black Hawk Down is now live in Delta Force for free, available on the Epic Games Store. With its gripping tactical challenges, high-stakes gameplay, and rewarding progression system, it’s a must-play for fans of military shooters. Whether teaming up with friends or taking on the campaign solo, there’s no shortage of action waiting in Delta Force this weekend.
