Foxconn to Invest Rs 15,000 Crore in Tamil Nadu, Create 14,000 Jobs

Tamil Nadu’s industries minister, TRB Rajaa, has announced that Foxconn, a major electronics company, plans to invest Rs 15,000 crore in the state. This is the largest investment commitment the state has ever received. The investment is expected to create 14,000 new jobs, mainly for engineers.

To help Foxconn start its projects smoothly, Tamil Nadu’s investment agency, Guidance Tamil Nadu, will set up a special desk. This desk will speed up the approval process for the company’s plans.

Minister Rajaa said this investment is a big step forward for Tamil Nadu’s electronics and manufacturing sectors. Chief Minister MK Stalin met with Foxconn’s India representative, Robert Wu, to confirm the company’s trust in the state.
